The stomach

The stomach is a hole in the upper abdomen , under the ribs organ.

It is part of the digestive system. The food passes from the mouth through the esophagus to the stomach. In the stomach , the food becomes liquid . The muscles of the stomach wall pushes the fluid in the small intestine .
The stomach wall has five layers :

Inner layer or lining ( mucosa) : Juices made ​​by glands in the inner layer help digest food . Most stomach cancers begin in this layer.

Submucosa : This is the support tissue for the inner layer .

Lung Cancer


  • Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in men and women in the U.S. and worldwide .
  • Cigarette smoking is the main risk factor for developing lung cancer.
  • Passive exposure to snuff smoke can also cause lung cancer .
  • The two types of lung cancer , which grow and spread in different ways , lung cancers are small cell (SCLC) and lung cancer non small cell (NSCLC ) .
  • The stage of lung cancer refers to the extent to which cancer has spread in the body.
  • Lung cancer treatment can involve a combination of surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy , as well as more recent experimental methods.
  • The overall prognosis of lung cancer is poor because doctors tend not to find the disease until it is at an advanced stage. The five-year survival is 40 % to 50 % for lung cancer in early stage , but only 1 % to 5 % in advanced cancer , inoperable lung.
  • Quitting smoking is the most important measure that can prevent the development of lung cancer.

Oral Cancer



Definition

Cancer of the lip and oral cavity is a disease in which cancer cells are found in the tissues of the lip or mouth .

The oral cavity includes the front two-thirds of the tongue, the upper and lower gums ( gingiva ) , the lining of the inside of the cheeks and lips ( buccal mucosa) , the bottom ( floor ) of the mouth under the tongue , bone top of mouth ( hard palate ) , and the small area behind the wisdom teeth ( the retromolar trigone ) .
